2021 Vocational Training Graduation

6 December 2021

Vocational Education and Training focuses on providing practical skills for work, allowing graduates to:

  • join the workforce for the first time
  • re-join the workforce after a break
  • upgrade skills in their chosen field
  • move into a different career
  • enter higher education

This year we celebrate 233 graduates who have completed a full qualification through Eva Burrows College or our internal partner, Employment Plus. Please note, this does not include the many who have completed full qualifications at our partner sites, Oasis Central Coast/Hunter, Tom Quinn community Centre and The Salvation Army’s Queensland Independent Schools.

Interestingly, in 2021 the two qualifications with the highest number of graduates range from a Certificate III course for job seekers to a highly specialised Diploma qualification which equips Financial Counselling practitioners.

  1. Certificate III in Business (76)
  2. Diploma of Financial Counselling (61)

The 2021 Vocational Training Graduation Ceremony is an opportunity for us to pause and take the time to celebrate the achievements of the graduating students.

"This year has been full of challenges with many students experiencing imposed COVID-19 restrictions and isolation. This has impacted heavily on their home and work life, and study. I congratulate the graduates on successfully completing their studies at this challenging time, a significant achievement!" - Kylie Casey, General Manager Vocational Training

This year the Graduation ceremony was held virtually on Wednesday 8th December at 5.30pm AEDT. Check out the fun photos below!
