Weekly hour-long Zoom sessions.

Students are expected to attend all Zoom meetings having completed set readings ahead of time, ready to engage with their peers and with faculty. Dates are to be set after consultation with the student cohort. 

Students are expected to post on an online forum and interact with their peers and the lecturer.  

We recommend that you allocate 12 hours a week for all study activities.

*This unit is offered at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level. Students may engage with people across both levels when this unit is delivered.

1 x 3,500 word Essay - 50%

Upon successful completion of this unit, it is expected that students will be able to:

1. Articulate and analyse the theological claim that 'God was in Christ reconciling the world to Godself'.

2. Critically respond to the impact of modernity on belief in God and Christ, demonstrating how Christology addresses the problem of divine absence.

3. Assess theological literature on the doctrine of God and Christology.

4. Apply insights from the doctrine of God and Christology to Christian faith and practice.

5. Compare and contrast a culturally diverse range of Christological approaches.
