Karen is the Facilitator and Assessor for the Diploma of Leadership and Management and Diploma of Chaplaincy.
Karen initially joined The Salvation Army as a Corps Officer where she spent 12 years as a Minister of Religion, Officer and Pastor. She then held roles as an Individual, Couple and Family Therapist with Relationships Australia and as an Aged Care Chaplain with BaptistCare.
Karen returned to The Salvation Army five years ago where she held the role of Manager Salvo Care Line, and currently as the Leadership Development Consultant for The Salvation Army Australia Eastern Territory.
The various roles Karen has held have contributed to her experience in leadership, leadership development, emotional intelligence, leading teams, management, grief and loss support and suicide prevention, intervention and postvention.
Karen is committed to developing and empowering others to be the best that they can be in all areas of life. She believes that leadership is all about empowering others to shine at their best, and to do that, people need support, resourcing, and authentic interest and care.
