Eva Burrows College provides valuable learning through its non-accredited courses. The courses are delivered in response to The Salvation Army, community and industry needs. The courses meet high standards, are practical with ideal class sizes, and are delivered by trained and experienced professionals.
Short courses currently offered include:
Management of Actual or Potential Aggression
The MAPA Foundation Program delivers comprehensive training that teaches management and intervention techniques to cope with escalating behaviour in a professional and safe manner. This training focuses on proven strategies for safely defusing anxious, hostile or violent behaviour at the earliest possible stage.
Mental Health First Aid
This two-day course will teach you how to provide initial support to other adults who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves, using a practical, evidence-based Action Plan.
