Captain Colin Reynolds

Colin Reynolds

Adjunct Lecturer

BTheol, GradDipBibStud, MTS

Colin is a fourth generation Salvation Army officer and was raised in the inner-east of Melbourne. However most of his adult life and ministry experience has been centred on Melbourne’s inner-west. After travelling around Asia and meeting his wife Phuong in Vietnam, he served as a pastor for eight years within the Vietnamese Evangelical Church Melbourne, based in Footscray. Following that sojourn Colin returned home to the Salvation Army where he currently serves as corps officer to the Sunshine community, a culturally diverse and vibrant suburb in Melbourne's west.

Colin is married to Phuong and they have two sons, Kim and Luc. His tertiary theological studies have been completed at Whitley College within the University of Divinity. Much of that study has focused on Hebrew Bible and also cross-cultural mission, which remain his academic passions.

Colin enjoys listening to loud music in the car, dining out with friends at Vietnamese restaurants, attending to his tropical aquarium and cheering for his favourite AFL team Hawthorn. He is a recent convert to playing games on his son's PS4 console!
