Commissioned as a Salvation Army officer in 1983, Christine Unicomb has served in a number of locations and roles. From being a medical officer at Howard Hospital in Zimbabwe, to 13 years as a Corps Officer in locations in NSW and Queensland, to 11 years with Salvos Counselling.
While at Salvos Counselling Christine commenced teaching at Eva Burrows College (former Booth College) in the area of Pastoral Care and Pastoral Theology. In 2011 she was the Assistant Principal and Academic Program Officer at the School for Officer Training and in 2012 joined the staff of the higher education taking up a full time teaching load. She completed her D.Min around the topic of clergy well-being from a proactive perspective, this being informed by personal and shared experiences of cross cultural ministry, ministry with hurting people and ministry in crisis and trauma situations.
