    Wesleyan Theology for Today will introduce you to the key themes of John Wesley’s theology. You will develop understanding about the central theme of ‘grace’ and the place and relevance of Wesleyan theology in thought and mission today.

    1 x 1,000 Seminar or Tutorial - 25%

    1 x 2,500 word Essay - 50%

  • Learning Outcomes

    Upon successful completion of this unit, it is expected that students will be able to:

    1. Outline the main ideas originating from John Wesley and those of major Wesleyan scholars.

    2. Analyse source materials in Wesleyan studies.

    3. Demonstrate a knowledge of the historical context fromwhich Wesleyan theology emerged.

    4. Articulate the significance of themes in Wesleyan theology for contemporary thought and practice.
