This year Captain Kate Clifford was our EBC recipient of the Vice Chancellor’s Scholar Award for demonstrating excellence in one or more of the University of Divinity’s Graduate Attributes. We recently heard from Kate, “I was only reflecting the other day on how I longed to study theology in greater depth when I was in my early 20s, and I marvel at how God has brought that about and made it possible for me.”
Kate commenced her studies in 2017 when she was an Auxiliary Lieutenant. Like many EBC students, she negotiated her studies alongside the demands of ministry and a busy family life. Kate achieved outstanding academic success with her Master of Theological Studies, demonstrating capacity for deep critical thought, and eloquent and creative communication. In her ministry, Kate demonstrates the integration of her theological knowledge and reflection in service to others through acts of justice and mercy. The higher education team at EBC are proud of all that Kate has achieved.
Perhaps you’re a little like Kate with a little longing to take on some theological study? We’d love to talk to you about your possible entry to higher education! We have a mid-year intake that might suit you.
