Welcome 2022 Cadets

4 February 2022

This week we have welcomed our new Cadets with an online orientation week. From next week they move into one or two week online intensives as part of their formal studies. Please join us in welcoming:

Cadet David Bruford (Reflectors of Holiness) at Launceston Corps, Tasmania
Cadet Beola Conteh (Defenders of Justice) at Cranbourne Corps & Berwick Corps, Victoria
Cadet Edward Conteh (Defenders of Justice) at Cranbourne Corps & Berwick Corps, Victoria
Cadet David Delany (Reflectors of Holiness) at Hurstville Corps, NSW
Cadet Leeanne Kingsman (Defenders of Justice) at Adelaide Congress Hall, SA
Cadet Rachal Mills (Defenders of Justice) at Bundamba Corps & Goodna Mission, Queensland
Cadet Khaitlyn Nott (Defenders of Justice) at Wagga Wagga Corps, NSW

These new cadets join our ongoing cadets, many of whom are undertaking social or corps placements in locations other than their primary appointment for the first half of 2022 (and will also be attending online intensives over the coming fortnight):

Cadet Shaun Featherston (Messengers of Reconciliation) at Brimbank Corps, Victoria
Cadet Peter Hardy (Reflectors of Holiness) at Bayside Corps & Red Shield Defence Services Enoggera, Queensland
Cadet Rachel Nally (Reflectors of Holiness) at Shepparton Corps & Social Expressions, Victoria
Cadet Vikki Song (Reflectors of Holiness) at Auburn Corps & Aged Care (TBC), NSW
Cadet Kirsten Wood (Reflectors of Holiness) at Morley Corps & Harry Hunter Centre, WA

Did you notice that we have cadets placed in every division around Australia? We are excited to continue an individualised approach to officer formation and take the prior experience and qualifications of cadets seriously. Our newest cadets include a few former Auxiliary Lieutenants, Candidate Helpers and Ministry Workers. We are grateful to partner with a variety of Salvation Army mission and ministry expressions for the training and development of cadets and are looking forward to an amazing year (and, one day, gathering in person!)
