The Eva Burrows Library in Sydney, closes its doors

19 November 2019

Eva Burrows College (EBC) made the decision to close the Bexley North campus library (Sydney) effective Friday, November 15, 2019, after a review resulted in a recommendation to close the Library, consolidate the collections and to re-focus efforts and services to more effectively and efficiently meet the needs of EBC students across the country.

The consolidated Eva Burrows Library will be physically based in Ringwood (Melbourne) however the college remains committed to providing library services that continue to serve the study, ministry support, research and leisure reading needs of all our students, The Salvation Army and members of the public across Australia.

Any library members who borrowed books from the Bexley North library prior to the closure will need to return them to the Melbourne library via post.

Free books

A significant proportion of the Bexley North library collection is being relocated to Melbourne to be consolidated with the collection there and will be available as outlined below. The remainder of the collection will be available for dispersal.

Those associated with The Salvation Army are invited to come and select items from the Library at Eva Burrows College 32a Barnsbury Grove Bexley North 2207 between 9.30am and 4.30pm from Monday November 25th through to Friday December 6th. Subsequently, the remainder will be made available to other Theological libraries.
