Who should consider this training?
This skill set is ideal for individuals seeking to broaden their existing skills to include problem gambling work. A nationally recognised course, endorsed by industry, it provides a set of skills that will help you support individuals and their families in dealing with the problems of gambling.
Course Structure
This skill set is a nationally recognised qualification which requires the successful completion of two units over a six month period.

Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements for this qualification. However, it is most suited to individuals who either;
- hold a qualification at Certificate IV level or higher in Community Services related discipline
- or have skills equivalent to the qualification requirement validated through a recognition of prior learning process.
This course is open to Australian residents. Unfortunately, we are not registered to accept international students. The eligibility of students will be confirmed during enrolment.
Additional Requirements
Students must have access to at least three clients who gamble to harmful levels. This can include up to two who are the ‘affected other’ of a problem gambler, in order to complete their assessments.

Upon successful completion of all assessment tasks, and being deemed competent in all units, you will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for the CHCSS00111 Problem Gambling Skill Set.
These units provide credit towards a range of qualifications.
