Pathways from Vocational to Higher Education

Are you interested in a pathway towards a degree? A pathway offers students an alternative route to higher education beyond the traditional Year 12 certificate. Eva Burrows College programs, VET and Higher Education, are nested to enable students to advance from one award to another.

Credit Transfer for Faster Completion

If your previous studies are in a theological or divinity‑related field, you may be eligible for academic credit, helping you complete your degree in a shorter timeframe. Ideally, students apply for credit during enrolment but currently enrolled students can also apply for block credit transfer under this provision.

Unit Selection

While there are choices for students to make in unit selection, the requirements of the qualification will restrict some choices. Your friendly Registrar or Course Advisor will guide you through the process, taking into account university requirements, your work context and personal interests. In addition, if you are considering aiming for Salvation Army Officership, additional guidance about appropriate unit choice is provided to ensure that Officer Formation requirements are taken into account.

We have special fast‑track arrangements for graduates of the Certificate IV in Christian Ministry and Theology and the Diploma of Chaplaincy through Eva Burrows College.
