Major Daniel Templeman Twells

Daniel and his wife Melissa were commissioned as Salvation Army Officers in 2006. Following corps appointments in Bairnsdale and Warragul (VIC), he was appointed to the Japan Territory’s College for Officer Training as a Training Officer from 2012-2018.
Upon returning to Australia, he became the Western Australia Divisional Youth & Young Adults Secretary, before taking up a corps leadership role at Floreat Corps (WA) for three years.
In 2023, Daniel along with Melissa and their two children returned to Japan where he was appointed jointly as Training Principal of the College for Officer Training, and Territorial Secretary for Spiritual Life Development.
His academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce (Murdoch, WA), Advanced Diploma of Salvation Army Ministry, Graduate Certificate of Professional Supervision (St. Mark’s), Arrow Leadership Graduate, and Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT N2). He is an Associate Member of the Australasian Association of Supervision.
