Graeme and his wife Karyn were commissioned as Salvation Army Officers in 1988, and have served as corps officers, staff officers on the Training College, and in administrative positions at both Divisional and Territorial level. Graeme also served for ten years as Chairman of the Australia Southern Territory Moral and Social Issues Council. He is a registered medical practitioner and when serving as the Divisional Commander in the Northern Victoria Division, and subsequently as the Divisional Commander in the Melbourne Central Division, he held an additional International Headquarters appointment as the Zonal Facilitation Resources Officer for the South Pacific and East Asia Zone. This role involved visits to many of the Army Territories in the Zone to engage in the assessment and development of Salvation Army medical, educational and community responses.
In 2013, Graeme was appointed to the Executive of the Australia Southern Territory as the Secretary for Programme, and then appointed in 2015 as the Chief Secretary for the Australia Southern Territory, before retiring from active service at the end of 2018. He is keen to see people grow in their relationship with God and to develop their capacities to serve God’s mission in the world.
