COVID-19 Update

Update as of  4 June 2021

Eva Burrows College is closely monitoring developments surrounding COVID-19 and is committed to keeping the college community informed as the situation continues to evolve.

Below we have listed the changes that will be implemented until further notice.

If you have any questions please contact your lecturer, Course Coordinator or our Support Services Staff here at the college, who are here to help you access the support you require for your continued learning.

Higher Education

COVID-19 continues to be a threat to our community. In an effort to reduce the associated risks to our students, staff and faculty, Eva Burrows College in consultation with the University of Divinity has modified the delivery of Semester 1, 2021 units (subjects).

  • There will be no face to face delivery.
  • All units will be delivered in online teaching only.
  • If you have further inquiries regarding Higher Education, please contact the Registrar.

Vocational Training

Our online courses will continue to be accessed through Booth Online at this time.

Face to face classes will recommence in February, depending on minimum student numbers and COVID-19 restrictions. We are in contact with all affected students to keep them informed as the health crisis continues to evolve.

Short Courses

Short courses at our Ringwood campus will resume late February. We will be communicating revised dates to students awaiting training in MHFA and MHFA Refresher. A revised schedule and new dates will be listed on our Short Courses page when new dates and venues have been confirmed. Please check back regularly for updates.

Campuses

Our Ringwood campus will be closed due to Victorian Government requirements from Thursday 27th May until 8.30 am Friday 4th June.

The Bexley North campus is open from 11am – 1pm Monday to Friday. You will need to sign in using our QR code system as we are complying with government and health guidelines to protect everyone who comes through our doors.

Library

Due to Victorian Government requirements, the library is closed for onsite visits until Covid restrictions have been lifted. However, as of Monday 7 June a Click and Collect Service will be available.
Please email library@ebc.edu.au or call (03) 9847 5439 during the hours of 8.30am-4.30pm with any click and collect requests, or arrange to have any titles posted to you free of charge one way, or alternatively request the scanning of resources.
We look forward to resourcing and assisting you as best we can during this time.

Venue/Event Bookings

Events bookings are now being taken for 2021. Health guidelines related to social distancing and hospitality services apply to all our bookings and we recommend that you contact us and discuss your proposed event with our Facilities and Events Coordinator so she can assist you with the best options for your event.

Staff and Student Advice

  • Use a tissue and cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitiser that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
