OASIS - Hunter

 

Oasis Hunter was established by The Salvation Army in 1995 under the name of The Ark offering youth support, counselling, supported accommodation, life skills and vocational training to young people in the Hunter.

The Ark changed its name in 2009 to Oasis Hunter after joining the Oasis Youth Support Network.

Oasis Hunter offers students the opportunity to learn important new skills in a hands-on supportive learning environment whilst participating in a wide range of flexible training programs.

As an Associated Training Site of Booth College Australia, Oasis Hunter provides nationally accredited Vocational Training across several sites including The Olive Branch Café, Nourish Café, Oasis Hunter and The Mobile Training Unit. By participation in a range of industry courses young people gain valuable work skills and build the confidence required to effectively participate in their local communities.

Training is available in several industries including:

  • Hospitality
  • Retail
  • Business
  • Youth Work
  • Training and Assessment
  • Short Courses including Food Safety Supervisor, Safe Food Handling and Barista
